Tip 1: Let them choose. Are you finding it tough to find one dress that all the girls love? Give them clear guidelines of the colour palette and style of your day and then let them pick out the dress that is best for them. They'll love you for it and they'll smile bigger in the pictures!

Tip 2: Don't forget the small stuff. I'm sure that you've realized by now that weddings are all about the details! It's important to remember in all of your planning that you not only have to pick out a great dress for your girls, but you also have to make decisions about their jewellery, hair and shoes. To match or not to match? That's the question!

Tip 3: Start shopping early. Whether you are ordering the dresses from somewhere or you just need some time for alterations, save yourself a headache and allow three months for this entire process. Sticking to a timeline will avoid so much unnecessary stress for you in the long run!

Tip 4: Necklines make a big difference. I'm assuming that your bridesmaids are all different shapes and you're stressing trying to find a "one-size-fits-all" type of dress... Not to worry! Get the same colour dresses but with different necklines that suit each girl and it will make them feel so much more comfortable! Plus, they will still look relatively the same!

Tip 5: Be creative. You and your closest girl friends are picking out beautiful dresses for a day of celebrating you and your love! How fun is that?? Don't get caught up in the traditional bridesmaid rules. Be creative and have fun with it! If you're having a summery outdoor wedding, put that eggplant cocktail dress back on the hanger and take your girls on a flirty sundress shopping spree!
