I'm just trying to gasp for breath when I see this altar. It's just so perfect for a summer wedding. Love love love!
There are some weddings that you come across that are just absolutely flabbergasting. This is one. The only word that came to my mind when I saw these photos was, "bah!" It's just 100% perfection. And makes you totally jealous and wonder why on earth you didn't do that for your own wedding... and I could ramble more about how jealous I am about this killer DIY wedding and how I wish my husband would let us get married again (I don't care if we've only been married 6 months, I just want THIS wedding!!)... Just look at the pictures! You'll be blown away!

How sweet!
So so good! I hope you girls are getting some serious inspiration here. The slick white vases, bright orange candlesticks (love the tapers!!), green foliage... it's just SO good!
Bah! So completely lovely!
A few words from the wonderful photographer, Birttany Hildebrand Photography...
"erin's attention to even the tiniest details (which are my favouritest things, by the way) was inspiring. in short, it was an orange, yellow and mint DIY paradise. striped candles, dotted ribbon, braided and ripped fabric elements, vintage frames, furniture - even a wood stove filled with candles - and bicycles, one thousand and one felt hearts, confetti for celebrating (both from the guests as well as an airplane) and bright red balloons for releasing to the sky. it's always the greatest when you can see the couple reflected in their wedding, that's what it's all about. you could feel the love that day, it was huge.
i wasn't the hired photographer for their big day; louis and i attended as guests instead, there to share the day as close friends - it was more than nice. a moving ceremony, an A+ dinner (white sangria and a make-your-own gourmet burrito bar - WHOA), a truly heart-melting speech moment and a "big fish"esque barefoot dance party made for a wedding i will never forget. even now as the snow is starting to fly, memories of erin and derek's wedding are fresh in my brain, still as if we partied under the stars just last night."

During your engagement, your relationship with your fiance is probably crowded with big things: plans to buy a house, the buzz of wedding planning, and so much more. But, when you and your fiance start your life as husband and wife and settle into a daily routine, your relationship can start to feel mundane if you lose focus on what really matters…the little things.
